This started off as a comment and turned into ? ……..Peace is worth it, but the ultimate goal must be world unity, so many wars eventually end in compromises and similar regimes and an ethos of control and suppression which then leads to the inevitable next conflict. So maybe thinking of an interdependent world, as a shared home, resource and a space for our future generations to create new ways of working in unity will ensure every single person is equally valued! Not a dream 😁! But it starts with each of us striving to put those values into our daily lives at the grassroots level, building hope, being confident that the shoe will be found, working together and exploring opportunities that will be our potential next step to peace, then onto the next step, and so on, constantly learning new ways, a vast, creative expression of hope and joy, with empathy and consideration at its heart.

The grassroots element is essential - thanks for bringing that out.

Incredibly thought provoking. Thank you for making it relatable. I definitely connected with the shoe and sunglasses example- having fallen victim to both (possibly frequently) 🥰 The theory that peace is not only possible, but attainable , may take a while to marinate with folk. We seem to have lost our confidence in our own power as humans - possibly a post pandemic gift. So what is the way forward to attain the goal? The first step, in my humble view, is unified ownership of the goal- when we collectively desire change we can achieve it. Following the knowledge , volition , action rule - that every goal ( including the search for sunglasses and shoes) requires us to follow … we must both acknowledge and commit to the varied and many sacrifices that achieving the goal will require. Buying in to the idea of global peace and prosperity , we will recognize that it emerges when we engage in a twofold transformational process - to change ourselves and how/what we think, thereby changing the collective thought of the

Society we can build and choose to live in. “A man’s reality is his thought” - AB Again, thanks for sharing and I love the idea of Co- Operation Conversation and all that it implies 🥰 The very name itself sets the stage for open sharing of ideas on all fronts . bravo!

Thank you for commenting, Val and I'm glad you like the name and are taking part in the conversation :) I think the idea that the change needed is both in us and in our societies is key. It give us ordinary folk agency.
